Launch End Bump Stop (Information Only)
Here's just a suggestion for stopping your kids from damaging your expensive pulley on the Launch End rigging - it's called a 'Bump Stop'.
We fit a small rubber tyre (eg. for a wheel barrow) through the wire rope (which can ONLY be inserted at the same time as construction).
For obvious reasons, we only recommend fitting one of these at construction time as the 2-holes are only 11mm, as this ensures a fairly tight fit around the zip line wire rope.
We have also seen one of these up on the stopping end of a zip line also where the bungee brake block bumps up against a rubber tyre to also keep kids away from the 'crash' pole end of your backyard zip line.
To fix your tyre in place, we recommend adding one or two of the galvanised 11mm wire ropes grips to keep kids away from swinging into your end tree or pole. This is just one working EXAMPLE, and it seems to work well for most applications. These wire rope grips don't need to be expensive ones as they are non-load bearing (not to AS Standards), so a couple from your local hardware store would suffice.
