FREE Standard Shipping - Australia Wide*   

Most of our products* come with ‘free’ standard shipping Australia wide. Sending items across Australia does take time, in some instances standard shipping parcels can take between 5 – 7 days to arrive (according to Australia Post).  We all know that this is especially the case if you live in a rural or a more remote location. If you want your stuff FAST - the quickest way to receive your order is via our Express Post service** (for an additional fee) see hyper-link to the left: "Express Post My Stuff in The Mail."

* Excludes Heavy Shipping products clearly noted on the website. These will be combined, weighed and either an e-invoice can be sent for customers to pay separately either with their credit card (which goes through Visa Checkout), or via a direct deposit (EFT) banking option. ** There is no such thing as Overnight EXPRESS POST or Next Business Day Deliver when satchels are shipped from WA across Australia. This will NOT occur overnight if we are shipping from Western Australia to the Eastern States, Tasmania or even New Zealand (Yes, we do ship to NZ). These Express Post satchels will take between 2 - 3 business days to travel across the Nation, especially into Tasmania (but then again, you guys already knew this right!).


If you live in another country, the answer is "Yes", we can ship any item over to you if we have it in stock in either our WA head office or our Portland warehouse in Oregon (USA). E-mail us first with your enquiry and also your shipping address that you would like it sent to, then we can get you an accurate shipping cost prior to you making your final choice of items.

Duties & Import Taxes in your Country (excludes AU)

On all International orders, the recipient (or the customer) is responsible for the payment of all applicable duties, import taxes and any other fees. All orders may require duty fees to be paid upon arrival, depending on the country that you are shipping to. Please contact your Customs Office for more local information on duties, taxes and also information on importing any restricted items in your Country - prior to making your order.


Prices, offers and stock availability may vary between our website and our newsletters/promotional brochures. All Prices are in Australian Dollars. Our head office is based in Rockingham Beach (Western Australia) and our International Shipping warehouse is based in Portland, Oregon (USA). Your order may be shipped out to you from either location.

Most of our products are shipped from outside Australia and the price (including any applicable postage & handling, delivery fees or charges) are exclusive of Australian GST.

What is a 'Pre-Order' Item:  Where we have an item on Back Order, customers can 'Pre-Order' any specific item for themselves and pay for it up front. This reserves any shipment arriving specifically for you in advance. Your item will then be shipped out to you as soon as it arrives here in AU.  Sometimes there can be a short wait for various items as they often come from our USA suppliers, as some items often may come from a unique or exclusive product line.

How long can a 'Pre-Order' take to arrive?  Most of our gear gets shipped out from the USA manufacturer to our Oregon International warehouse and then it’s shipped again to to us over here in AU. Where items are listed as a 'Pre-Order' on our website (America calls this a Back-Order item) we estimate that this can normally take between 14 – 21 days (from purchase date) to arrive over here in AU. On the odd occassion (snow storms, floods, airline strikes, etc.) this can sometimes take a little longer. Once your gear arrives, the OAG website will send confirmation of your shipment Tracking Number and we’ll let you know as soon as we do.

CORRECT DELIVERY ADDRESS (you would be surprised!):

Please ensure the delivery address and receiver's name for your order is accurate and complete (including any business name if shipping to a work address) as we are unable to change any details once the order has been placed. The Outdoor Gear Australia office staff will not take responsibility for any orders that you place that go missing due to incorrect delivery information provided by you.

You must notify us within 2 weeks of the shipping dispatch date as recorded in your account if you have not received an item. After this time no refund will be issued for any missing orders by Australia Post.  If you have purchased an additional 'Registered Post' label/item, you may be eligible for an AP insurance claim (up to $100) through Australia Post.  You will need to persue this through AP yourself, with our full support, for you personally to make this claim. This situation is very rare (we have never experienced it, yet), however, we are talking about Australia Post delivery service here, aren't we?  Please don't hate us!
