Great Product & Excellent Customer Service
Posted by Stacey & Graham (SA) on 18th Aug 2018
We agree with most of the other feedback points mentioned on other customer reviews here, we purchased two of these as they were on SALE and they are SUPER lightweight. We also liked the Express Post shipping service - it certainly was worth it - they arrived 2 days later. Yes, we also both got some condensation in this bivy, but you get that in almost every Bivy Sack on the market. This model is very cosy and certainly 'added' some extra warmth on those freezing nights. We also just love the colour and the lightweight design of this TNF bivy. Thanks heaps for a great product!
Excellent light weight bivy
Posted by Dave on 18th Oct 2017
Took this bivy snow camping as a light weight alternative to a tent and it worked a treat. Slightly tight to get into as per another reviewer's comments below, but very roomy once inside with enough space to store boot liners and bags. Only some minor condensation in the foot area from the boot liners, but sleeping bag was bone dry. Didn't sleep with the hood zip closed, but wasn't too claustrophobic in quick tests.
Super Lightweight, but You will Have some Condensation

I purchased two of these as they are SUPER lightweight. The Express Post shipping service is worth it - they arrived in 2 days! Sure, you will get some condensation in this Bivy, however you WILL get that in any Bivy Sack, its the same as any single skin tent.
Pros: 1. Roomy (I am 6'2") and there is plenty of foot, head, and side room. Neither of us felt closed in. 2. Super lightweight and easy to use.
Cons: 1. If you are a 'chunky-for-punky' it will be difficult to enter. Sure, the one zipper does makes it lighter, but for fat people, it may prove difficult to enter. Especially inside a small tent, not to mention taking a pee in the middle of the night. 2. There is always condensation on my sleeping bag and on the inside of the bivy in the morning. From what I have learned this is pretty much unavoidable with 'all' bivy sacks. With decent weather, and some space to lay your stuff out, it only takes 15-20 minutes to dry out. We both loved this product's simplicity, ease of use and its lightweight design. What's more to like!
Night Night, Warm & Water Tight!
Posted by Beldon D. on 14th Oct 2017
Last Winter/Spring I used the Assault Bivy sack on several cold nights varying in temperature from about 0 to -2 degrees, paired with a sub-zero bag, a sleeping pad and a bag liner, the TNF Bivy kept me warm and dry. The first night, I slept in the bivy without a tent or other shelter. On the colder nights I used the sack inside of a snow shelter. With every use, the bivy effectively shed snow and helped to trap more body heat than a sleeping bag alone. Some condensation did develop on the inside of the sack from my breath (as is to be expected with any bivy sack); however, using the mesh opening eliminated this effect entirely. I had plenty of extra room at both the head and foot of the sack for extra gear. Overall, I was very satisfied with this product. With some work, it does fit back into the small carry sack it comes in. The size and weight of the bivy (very lightweight) make it easy to pack and carry and the warmth and water-shedding benefits of the product make it ideal to use in combination with a tent on colder nights or as a minimalist alternative to a tent.

Thank you for the excellent customer service I received recently from your OGA staff. I needed this TNF Bivy for this coming weekend's expedition and these guys were able to send it within two days using their Express Post shipping service (costs minimal extra). Arrived on time and it will work a treat. Thanks heaps! We'll be back for more gear soon.
